We have now gone twice to an excellent Brazilian Buffet in Hudson. MA. We've only been there at lunch on Saturdays (11-3 or so?). They also serve dinner (starting at 4 pm). The place is called Espeto's. It is at 25 South Street in Hudson (we start in Boston, take 128 to 495, 495 to Hudson). They have about a dozen hot dishes buffet style: excellent feijao, as well as chicken livers, tripe, two kinds of rice, a pasta and meat dish my kid likes, chicken with peppers, excellent farofa, excellent chunks of orange squash, boring plantains, and a variety of salads of lesser interest. They also have rotisserie grilled beef (OK, but not special), very good chicken wrapped in bacon and very good marinated pork (all continuously grilled and sliced to order). You pay by the pound, eat in or take out and it is CHEAP! $4.95/lb. You run a tab and keep going back as often as you like. We eat a lot and cannot spend more than about $30 for 4. They also serve pretty good juice: we've tried their passion fruit juice and cashew juice. But (saving best for last) I'd go all the way out there just for dessert. They have great flan, really creamy and generous. Today we also tried manjar, a coconut flan-like pudding with caramel sauce and soaked prunes. It was fantastic. The staff are very friendly. Brazilian TV plays continuously and Portugese is the language of choice. It is a real find.
