Does anyone know Brazil Grill on MacDougal St? Hard to believe anything on that icky block food block could be good, and that anything in so obvious an area could be good if not previously mentioned (it's never been discussed on Chowhound).
But I see their menu gives pride of place to a holy grail: Bahian vatapa, a rare/delicious/labor intensive dish that's a yellow paste of coconut milk-soaked bread, peanuts, onion, garlic, ginger, pepper and more dried shrimp. Rest of menu looks like the real thing, too.
Can there possibly be an undiscovered gem on the most touristic block of Greenwich Village?
