Boyco Foods Buckwheat Honey @ Portland Farmers Market at PSU

One of the most unique things tasted at the Saturday morning Portland Farmers Market https://www.chowhound.com/post/briar-... , was the Buckwheat Honey at Boyco Foods' booth. Sourced from Eastern Oregon and limited in quantity, this had a dark hue verging on black with equally deep flavors. Less sweet than other varieties, the buckwheat honey tasted like malt, toasted nuts and carob, and a bit steely. I balked at the $18 price, and looking back now, I'm sorry I did not purchase it then.
