Bouley, Danube, Erminia, Daniel -- most dim, attractive, romantic?

Looking for a very special occasion place for two, with unrushed service and excellent cuisine, and a cozy, very intimate setting.

Any price, but prefer not to stay for too long (otherwise would choose Per Se or Ducasse in a second), so no 5-7 course tasting menus for this evening. Just a gloriously romantic place for a proposal, then, if all goes well, off to enjoy the night in private.

Heard less than stellar remarks from a friend re March re food and service; Town is fine, but lately found service rather amateur, though cuisine was delicious.

Le Bernardin, J-G, and Veritas lack the romance desired, but otherwise love.

Eleven Madison Park is too modern, bright, busy; Gotham B&G lacks the ambiance for this occasion, and service is of a mediocre standard.

Any others I am overlooking in this genre?
