Hi, its summer here in Sydney and I have way too much food in my fridge. The weather is getting too hot so I do my cooking at night but forget about it only to end up eating out all the time after uni class.
I have a huge Spanish omelette that I just cooked, a Japanese curry rice takeout from yesterday that I forgot about, 3 tomatoes, 1 cucumber, huge bag of grapes, a tub of cooked rice, 6 eggs, 400g of ready made meatballs, coriander, 1 whole rainbow trout, prawns and pasta sauce, huge bag of grapes and milk, block of parmesan cheese.
On top of that, I forgot I still have marinated slices of wagyu beef my aunt sent me, frozen nuggets and fries, frozen pasta meal and lots of broccoli camembert pastry puff I made and froze. I can't even share my food as I'm doing summer school so all my friends and roommates are gone for the holidays and the dorms are pretty empty as well.
The food is going bad in about 10 days and I am panicking about how to plan my meals and not waste all this. Especially, the fancy block of parmesan that is not even opened yet, the huge spanish omelette that I just cooked, huge bag of grapes, 1 litre of milk, cooked rice and coriander that will wilt if I don't find a way to use it asap.
I guess I could freeze the trout, meatballs and prawn. I don't know what I was thinking by cooking that spanish omelette that can practically serve 4 people when I still have so much food. Ahhhh, I'm feeling so overwhelmed right now. Some advice and help would be great on how to deal with this situation.
