Bouchon's ups and downs

jaiko | Nov 1, 2012 01:28 PM

I ran across this in Bauer's blog and hadn't seen it anywhere else, nor did a search here turn anything up. I and several other posters had reported a less-than-satisfactory food experience at Bouchon over the last 18 months. This might be why:

"...Jeff Cerciello, who was the chef of Bouchon, moved down to SoCA to open a Santa Monica provisions store and restaurant called FarmShop two years ago. It has a casual, open airy feel, with excellent wines, pastas, salamis and cheeses available for sale from the shop that shares space with the restaurant. A branch is supposed to open in the Marin Country Mart in Larkspur sometime before the end of the year."

Bauer tucked it in his recent report on restaurants in LA, so it was easy to miss.
