bottles of wine in restaurants- can minors share?

cheryl | Dec 6, 200206:05 PM     28

As I'm graduating High School this June, my parents have offered to take me out to a multi-course restaurant to celebrate (incase anyone is curious, I was thinking of Babbo, in NYC). What I want to know is, even though minors can't order alcoholic drinks, is it acceptable for them to have some of the table's bottle of wine, in their own glass? I know that technically, it's probably illegal, but is it common practice? Does anyone care? Has anyone seen this done, and how often? Any responses would be greatly appreciated.
