after reading through numerous threads on the NYC/Manhattan site, I've found Ping's on Mott St. to be the designated dim sum parlor for chowhounds. well, since the my friends and I planned a little NYC trip this past weekend, I recommended Ping's as our sunday brunch spot. the dim sum was fairly well done, however, i was a bit disappointed. chowhounds are usually right on the spot, and have failed to disappoint me. however, Ping's was something that i didn't find 'spectacular' and 'chow-worthy'. plainly put, it was good, but not great, and def. not the best. did i just go on the wrong day? at a wrong time? (sunday afternoon). also, we will be returning in two weeks. this time our sole mission is to EAT!! so please recommend some 'must-try' restaurants and dishes in the Chinatown area. THANKS!!
