I'm getting a bit bummed out that we're hearing the names of so many prototypically Zagatish Chinese picks here on this board. You know the ones. They're so stale. Some--not all--were good once. But now they're Epcot-ish, hollow brand names that are the very antithesis of chowhoundom.
My mourning over the demise of my beloved Tindo has kept me from doing much reconnaisance work in Chinatown lately (other than my ever-escalating love affair with both food and service at New Green Bo at 66 Bayard), but I'd sure love it if we could see some notes from the hundreds of hounds who I know are constantly eating around the nabe and keeping tabs. A dish here, a dish there. We don't need anything fancy or exhaustive.
