I love The Borgata! Beautiful hotel/casino/spa. Finally had dinner at Bobby Flay Steak, and it was excellent! Service was very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious. Loved the Lobster Crabcake; Corn Soup; Bone-in Ribeye that was prepared a perfect med-rare; and Baked Alaska. The ribeye had great flavor, and was so much better than the flavorless ribeye that I had last year at The Old Homestead. I know that Bobby Flay doesn't get too much praise on the Manhattan board, but his AC restaurant is now my favorite at The Borgata.
BTW, Izakaya is totally skippable. Some dishes were good: lobster and short ribs on skewers. My sister did love her beet salad. Please don't order the duck meatballs--totally dry and tasteless. Fried chicken is nothing special (Popeye's is vastly superior). The s'mores milkshake is tasteless. The sushi rolls have no taste either. Service is very inattentive.
Metropolitan cafe was fine for lunch, but the service at breakfast ranges between inept and rude. I'll stick with the Buffet next time. When I presented my Borgata Rewards card to pay for the breakfast, my waiter very rudely demanded ID, and walked away. Finally came back, took my driver's license, took care of other tables, and finally returned and "barked" at me that I still needed to pay the $10 balance. Needless to say I didn't leave him much of a tip. He could have been more pleasant. I don't care and am not interested in his problems/that he was having a bad morning/how overworked he is. I'm a customer, and expect to be treated with respect whether I'm at a 4 star restaurant or at a coffee shop.
