Boozy Sangria, as it's made in Spain (or perhaps used to be?)

jojojovich | Aug 30, 201806:19 PM     2

I went to college in Toledo, Spain for a while. One night we went out, and decided, foolishly, to try the sangria at each bar in town. We didn't get far, it being the boozy delight it is (or used to be?) there in Toledo.

Then, in a Food and Wine issue prior to 2008 (and I'm unable to find this recipe online, alas), they featured Spain, and there I found a DELICIOUS, way [traditionally] boozy recipe for sangria. Red sangria, like it's supposed to be. ;)

That said, I only see brandy, or run, in any online sangria recipes. Does anyone have that Food and Wine recipe, by any chance, or a more traditionally Spanish, very boozy sangria recipe?
