Tried this place for the first time last night. Some hits and misses.
We got there at exactly 7:00 for our reservation and waited approx. 10 minutes to be seated. The place was packed.
Got a table near the fireplace, cramped but cozy.
They were informed of my nut allergy and told me no problem.
The basket of bread was large and warm and served with a cold tomato garlic sauce.
Upon reading the menu I saw that more than half the menu was off limits because their 'famous wood fire grill' used pecan wood. It would have been nice to know this beforehand.
Ordered 2 entrees: Vitello E Arroagosta was wonderful. tangy, filled with flavor, the lobster was minced and the veal was extremely tender. It came with zucchini and whipped potatoes.
My husband had wood grilled chicken with fontina proscuitto and mushrooms with a marsala glaze. He said it was excellent.
He tried to order a beer on tap and was told there was a CO2 leak and not working. Tehn the first beer in a bottle he asked for was not in stock. he settled on a bud light, his 4th choice.
The bill for 2 entrees and one beer was $50 before tip.
I'm not sure if we'll go back. Although the food was very good, the prices are high for suburbia and there were lots of little problems.
