Bolognese sauce vs spaghetti sauce?

Cookingdancr | Jul 13, 202011:21 PM     47

So, I only just found out about Bolognese a few days ago. Never had it, and I really want an authentic recipe.

I always thought that Bolognese was identical to the sauce you use on spaghetti, but now I'm not so sure. From what I've seen, (correct me if I'm wrong) Bolognese has very few "Italian" spices in it (basil, oregano, etc.) and it has dairy and wine in it as well. Ignoring the obvious way in which the noodles for each are different (tagliatelle/lasagna vs spaghetti noodle), what is the difference between the two, and what is a good Bolognese sauce? Thanks to everyone for the help!
