I spotted this truck for the first time, and figured I would have to give it a try even though I'm not a huge fan of fusion anything (well, except perhaps banh mi!). There were three people inside - looked like perhaps Mom, Dad, and son. But it could just as easily be random older guy #1, random older woman #1, and random younger guy #1. The menu does say that all recipes come from "my grandparents and parents" - so at least they are playing the family card. :)
I ordered the rumali roti wrap filled with paneer and veggies ($10). It came nicely grilled on the outside making the roti nice and warm. Inside there was a wide variety of fillings and flavours that all came together really nicely. The various veggies were very fresh, the paneer had been grilled to get some nice caramelization yet was still soft on the inside, and the chutney and sauces had a complex spice blend that pulled everything together nicely. Each bite provided a different texture and taste.
Although I normally am not a huge fan of fusion type dishes, I really enjoyed my rumali roti wrap! I'll definitely give these guys a try again next time I spot them - I'm eyeing those fish pakora as the next likely choice!
