Boat Cake??

Scribbler | Jul 11, 2003 04:00 PM

I'm posting this for a friend who is trying to retrieve a fond childhood memory. She remembers getting a cake from a bakery in Queens (maybe in Richmond Hill or Ozone Park, maybe at Gebhardts) that was shaped like an upside-down boat. Inside was a rectangular white cake with white cream filling. Around the cake, to make the boat shape, was cream and chocolate chips. This was all covered with chocolate icing.
Does this ring any bells for anyone? Do they still exist? If anyone has an idea of how to find one, please pass it along.
