N. Y. Board Controversy

BAshful3 | Dec 12, 2002 05:02 PM

On the N. Y. Chowhound site there is a large controversy brewing. It seems that several restaraunts in N. Y. C. make a practice of significant up-charging on their menus during the holiday season. The name of the game being "Fleece the Tourists". TGIF was mentioned in this category, but there were others.

Somehow I doubt that Philly restaraunts would try this tactic, but I'm curious. Has anyone run into raising menu prices in a significant way during the holiday period?
