Blues Diner Grill- Tried it for breakfast

WEll, I have been to the blues Diner in Melrose before, and really did no care for it. A few posters have liked it, but for lunch and dinner it did not work for me. So, got a GC for Christmas, and thought I would try it out for breakfast.
Three of us went this am. Busy place- piano player playing medleys from Sound of Music, Wizard of Oz. Could do with out that, Anyway- I ordered swiss cheese omelet and a side of bacon. Mine came with home fries and an english muffin. I was hard pressed to find the swiss chesse, and the omelet was not fluffy- looked like they prepared them ahead of time, and stuck under the brioler to take off the chill. The home fries were cold and oily. The english muffin was thrown on the grill for about 60 seconds, and then dunked in melted butter. Gross. Soggy and pale, and dripping of congealing butter. The bacon was cold. Another order for a western omelet. Same problem as with the swiss cheese omelet. One order for chocolate chip pancakes for the teen. Horrible. SErved with no syrup, and a big glop of butter which could not melt, as the pancakes were not hot. Plus- no chocolate chips. When I could finally wave down the server, I told her there were no chocolate chips in the pancakes, and we needed syrup. She brought them back to the kitchen, and promptly brought them back to us- she said the kitchen ran out of choc. chips, so made the pancakes with chocolate. What is that all about? There was no choc bits- so the kithcen either used chocolate milk to make the batter, or used a squirt of hersheys. No idea why no one thought to tell us they had no more choc chips. So bad- and still no syrup. We could not wait to get out of there. The bill came to about $20.00- but we left the entire $30.00 certificate, cuz we never want to go there again. sorry for the rant. Now I feel better.
