Blue Tomato

Went to the Blue Tomato for the first time last night. We chose our table and the waitress took our drink order. Very prompt service. She returned for our food order. We started with an order of chips and salsa. I am not a salsa fan, but this was the best I've ever tasted. Half way through the salsa we scooped up a gray curly hair on the chip. When I told the waitress about it, she insisted it was a string of cheese. I know the difference between hair and cheese. When pulled, the hair sprung back into shape, if it had been cheese, it would have broken. It took way too long for the food to arrive considering we were the second table occupied. Three other parties came in after us and got their food long before us. My husband ordered the tuna ranchero which was cooked and spiced to perfection. I ordered a hamburger, probably the best hamburger I've ever eaten. Too bad the waitress was such a snot. She ruined the whole experience for us with her attidute. Needless to say, her tip was not nearly a large as it could have been. Total bill $24.85, tip $3.10. I am usually a large tipper. Normally she would have gotten at least 20 - 25%. If we had not been in a hurry to get to the Z's game, I'd have asked to see the manager. I will call today.
