Finally got down here tonight early w/ easy street parking (Monday holiday). Thrilled to see Craig (from Gargoyles) on board; such a great guy.
The highlight of the evening was, surprisingly, the amazing amuse bouche- a fried oyster mushroom w/ sansho pepper and ponzu sauce. Asked for a side of their sweet potato tempura; terrific. My entree Salmon with red chile glaze, green cream rice and squash- was very good; lovely presentation, but i have to admit the flavors were too muted for me; it lacked serious punch. My Love had the signature Sticky Rice w/ Duck Confit- still one of our fav entrees ever. Table bread was really special- house baked soft and chewy (Parker House-like) 'pretzel rolls'. Excellent bar and wine selections.

The room is very loud ( they hope to work on that) so we were glad we were there early.
In the summer the front windows open and seating doubles- flowing out onto the sidewalk- adjacent to the Greenway. Bet that's really pleasant. We've followed Jason for years, so in spite of tonight's meal not being the best we've had with him, we know how talented he is and we hope to be more jazzed next time we dine there.
