Blue Pointe Bistro - Weymouth (Review)

The SO and I decided to give Blue Pointe Bistro on Route 53 in Weymouth Landing a try for lunch over the weekend. We started with an order of their crispy calamari -- the name is somewhat of a misnomer, as the calamari's crispiness was reduced by the lemon vinagrette it was tossed in. Nonetheless, it was very light and a wonderful beginning to the meal. I opted for their special of the day for the main course -- grilled turkey tips, served over basmati pilaf. It wasn't earth-shattering, but certainly not terrible either. The SO fared better with their chopped salad, which was accompanied by a hearty portion of grilled chicken. The star of that show was the highly addictive roasted red pepper dressing. Prices are very inexpensive -- nothing on the lunch menu exceeded $10. The atmosphere is modern (could fit right into the South End) and service was prompt and attentive. We'll definitely return for dinner -- where entrees top out with a $21 lamb shank...
