Best BLT sandwiches?

OK, this is the wrong time of year to be asking for any dish with fresh tomatoes in it, but has anyone here had a really great BLT experience in Chicago lately? I don't necessarily mean gourmet-tweaked things like applewood smoked bacon, heirloom tomatoes, and organic romaine lettuce on seven-grain bread toasted over a hardwood charcoal fire. Good old crispy bacon with a couple of slices of juicy summer-fresh beefsteak tomatoes and some plain lettuce on toasted white bread with mayo would be just fine, thank you. I have had too many bad BLTs lately, with soggy bacon, mealy flavorless tomatoes (even at peak season), and wilted lettuce. I'll keep these recommendations filed until next tomato season, and I hope the places you recommend will still be open by then.
