a blissful lunch at the Copley Farmer's Market

I just wanted to share that I walked up to the Copley Square Farmer's Market (open Tues. and Fri.) today and had one of the nicest lunches I've enjoyed in a while.

First, I bought a "picnic lunch" for $3.00 from the goat cheese lady, a paper bag filled with 3 slices of wonderful French bread, a container with a large dollop of goat cheese with herbs and olive oil, and a packet of raisins. Next I bought organic strawberries at the stand next door, picked just that morning. Then I found a bench in the sunshine, spread out my goodies and listened to a folk musician crooning and plucking her guitar just a few feet away while I basked in the sunshine and watched the birds and the people in the shadow of Trinity Church. Wonderful food, perfect atmosphere.
