Polishing off my delicious and very filling breakfast at Jam served me well on my last day in Chicago. http://www.chowhound.com/post/breakfa... And even after a long walk to make a stop at Bang Bang Pie http://www.chowhound.com/post/bang-ba..., I was uncomfortably full and not in need of any lunch.
Off to the Field Museum to catch the terracotta warriors exhibit, and because I did not take a meal break, I had time for the Art Institute for a second museum of the day. So glad I did, as I would not have wanted to miss seeing the lions decked out in Cubbies gear.
Feeling a bit peckish by late mid-afternoon, I walked over to Revival Food Hall to take a look around. Still not really hungry, I did have room for gelato. I had Black Dog Gelato's pistachio and Turkish coffee, small size for $4.50. Okay gelato. Oddly, when I asked for a cup of tap water, the counter gal said that she was not allowed to serve me water. I had a seat where I could watch the brisket slicing at the BBQ stand next door. Looks tender, maybe overcooked. how is it?
And the third photo is not in Chicago. I snapped it in my own San Francisco neighborhood this afternoon. Congratulations, Cubs and Cubs fans everywhere!
