Bivalves in Boston?

Hey all, Just moved to Boston and I'm looking for a really down to earth casual place to order glutinous amounts of steamed sellfish and raw oysters. Does a place like this even exist in the city? I went to Neptune's in the North End which wasn't bad, but way too pricey. ($10 for a clam chowder? No thanks) And then I made the embarrassing newbie mistake of going to the Union Oyster House. I sat at the oyster bar which had a good casual feel to it, well priced booze... Yea a lot of tourists, but that has never been anything that ever bothered me. The deal breaker for me was the staggering level of dickitry displayed by one of the oyster shuckers behind the bar. (This particular shucker kicked out a patron because she asked him to smile. Everyone sitting at the bar literally stood up and left after several minutes of listening to him rant and rave about how he hates it when people ask him to smile. Shit got awkward for everyone quickly)

Anyway, anybody have any suggestions?
