A Bite of Fresno Review

I attended this event in downtown Fresno yesterday in between games at a water polo tounrey. Very nice set-up with lots of demos and restaurants offering samples of their food.

The cost was $15/pp at the door, but if you wanted to wine taste you had to pay an extra $5.00 We sampled some wines from Engelmann Cellars (we recently got some Syrah grapes there for our wine-making venture). Their gravel pit Syrah is outstanding and I also tasted their Summer Quartet that was fruity, crisp and light. (A white wine)

The Tenaya Lodge was offering samples of their chocolate cake with brandied cherries that was rich and delicious and the Elbow Room had samples of some really good feta and goat cheese pizza.

We only had an hour to browse around, and wished we would have had more time. The lines were quite long to sample the foods from the good places. This was a fun event, anyone else go?

Earlier in the day I think James Overbaugh from the Elderberry House was doing a demo and chefs from Citron and Ducey's on the Lake were also there. ***kim***
