Bistro Don Giovanni

We had taken a friend wine tasting in Napa. I had made reservations at Bistro Don Giovanni as my friend loves Italian food and was in for a short visit from Singapore. We were trying to hit all his requests in a very short period of time.

I hadn't been to B.D.G before but had heard positive things. Our experience was a nice way to cap off our day. We were seated on the outdoor patio near the fireplace and were able to take in a beautiful sunset. For my entree I had the papparadelle with braised lamb shank and it was heavenly. It was better than the cavatelli with braised lamb shank dish that I always used to order at my fave Italian place in Manhattan when I lived there. I was surprised to find such flavors that outshined my NYC standard but heartily relished the savory tastes that had been brought out by some conscientious slow cooking of that lamb. MMMM!
