We went to Bistro Clovis last night . . . it was delightful. We had rabbit pate (a little bland, but great texture, and good with the tomato marmalade and cornichons.) Then we had curry cauliflower soup -- I'm guessing butter and cream were involved -- isn't it really much easier to make things wonderful if you're allowed to use them? For the main course we had cassoulet. The wine was a good red burgundy they had by the glass (Daudet Naudin?). My husband had some kind of outrageous napoleon and cocoa glace dessert, and I had a few spoonsful. Nice ambience, good service, tasty food (and lots of it, more than even I could truly eat), reasonable prices, and a quick few blocks to all the essential venues.
