I love wine and cooking but don't know too much about pairings. For my birthday I'm having a tasting with a group of friends followed by dinner. Would love suggestions on pairings for dinner menu below - should I serve the same wines from the tasting at dinner?
Also, should I serve hor'deurves with the tasting in addition to dinner?
I bought the following based on recs from sherry-lehman in NYC. I'm really into Pinots and Rieslings so I got 3 of each but I'm a little worried about the Coopers Creek as read some poor reviews. Any thoughts on the list? should I switch any out or add any others? I would love to add an Oregon Pinot - any recs under $30???

*Roast filet with sea salt and thyme and asparagus (steamed or roasted?)
*Arugula salad with parmesan and simple lemon olive oil dressing
