I went to Long Beach the other day with the intention of eating at Siem Reap. But they had a couple of obnoxious TV sets blasting a football game that I wasn't quite ready for in early September. So I wandered down the street and ended up having an outstanding birria burrito at a Mexican place. I didn't get the name, but it's on the southeast corner of Anaheim and Walnut. It's a fairly large place, hard to miss, and advertises itself mainly as a seafood place. Nice people too. This was advanced birria: not just hunks of dead goat in a tortilla, but meat stewed in a sauce with chilis and what-not.
