Stopped in for the first time on Sunday night. They call themselves "pan Asian" and have a sushi bar and offer Chinese, Thai, and Malaysian dishes. My expectations were not particularly high but I was very pleasantly surprised.
Started with baby hamachi sashimi..done Nobu style, with a bit of jalapeno pepper, toro, mackeral and a crispy salmon handroll. Toro was a little "gristly" (as most is except in the most expensive sushi places)but buttery and everything was very fresh.
Then had an app of dumplings in a hot sauce..similar to Mary Chungs suan la chow..not quite as good but right up there. Finally a Hunan Beef with hollow stem watercress. I have no idea if it was "authentic" to Hunanese, but it was delicious; much higher grade of beef than the CTown restaurants use.
We sat at a pretty empty sushi bar, but they were doing a huge takeout biz..probably locals who can't live on Italian food all the time.
