My wife and I grabbed a quick bite at Bickford's in Waltham last night (why, I don't know; I thnk we kind of were in the mood for breakfast at 9:00 at night) and it was predictably pretty bad. I did notice, however, that they have what they describe as "big belly" fried clams (delivered from the Ipswich Shellfish Group). Now, of course any time that nearby Dairy Joy were open, there is no question that I wouldn't even think about fried clams from Bickford's, but Bickford's is open until midnight (later on the weekends), whereas Dairy Joy closes at, I think, 9. Has anyone dared to try these? A similar question was asked last August, but it never received a proper response (rather, only, as one would expect, a couple of expressions of disbelief).
