Belmont: Mark and Toni's Coal Fired Pizza

katzzz | Oct 9, 201306:56 AM

Happened to pass by Mark and Toni's on Trapelo Road near Cushing Square yesterday. Apparently it's a re-make of Brothers Pizza. Their website makes it clear that it's unabashedly Greek-style pizza (with gyros, souvlaki, etc. also available).
Got me wondering about the many pizza places along Belmont St./Trapelo Road, most of which appear to be Greek (Thyago's, et al.), though certainly not all. Anyone have a favorite? Is Mark and Toni's worth a shot? I've tried Fiorella's (to name a non-Greek spot) several years back and it was pretty good, but not as good as Stella's, which is a short hop away. And had a pie at Michael's once and won't be back: Greek-style and totally bland.
