So my boyfriend is buying me a waffle maker from Williams Sonoma for Christmas. Miracles! Can't wait. Only thing is, I can't for the life of me decide if I should get the classic round waffle maker or Belgian square one. I plan to make overnight waffles from Mark Bittman and sourdough waffles wth my starter, yeast-raised ones for the most part. And I'd like to make waffled French toast that I read about yesterday. Please clue me in on which maker to buy!
ps. Belgian waffles are often dry when I've had them...is this par for their course? Or was I doomed to have overdone ones each time?
Many thanks and happy hols!
