Beerbistro Review

My roomate and I had our holiday dinner at BB last night - we started out early in order to have enough time to make to our 8pm show of Movin' Out (which was fabulous IMO).

We were sat right away at the best table in the house, corner, high up - but i noticed most 2 seat tables were fairly cramped together. Our server was amazing, she helped suggest beer pairings with our food and bring out little taster samples for my roomate who doesnt drink much.

On to the food...we started with the famous frites, which lived up to reputation, and the beer-bacon shrimp, you could definitely taste mostly bacon and the shrimp was a tad dry, but ok. I had a crisp beer, somewhat similar to Stella but smoother. For our mains my roomate had the red snapper which she said was delicious, maybe a bit small. I had the scallop pasta in a lemon-cream sauce with bacon (i know, more bacon! there was a lot of bacon on the menu). The scallops were moist and flavourful, yum! The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was not heavy at all...very good..but I hardly ate it to save room for dessert. Flour-less chocolate cake, moist, nice bit of cream on top and berries on the side.

For 3 drinks, beer tastings, two apps, mains and dessert the bill came to $93! I was very impressed with the value and level of service, would most definitely reccommend the BB to anyone.

One Note: they didnt have my favorite beer - Tennants, but it gave me reason to be adventurous and try something new
