I am looking for alternative cuts of beef that can be roasted. I don't mean pot roasted. What I'm interested in is which of the less expensive cuts can be roasted instead of, say, a rib roast or strip loin roast or tenderloin.
Yes, I'm working on an article. My problem is that I would like to recommend a cut of beef that is inexpensive enough for a modest family meal. Could you roast, say, a rump or eye of round? And if so, which would be better (both flavour and tenderness). I'm thinking of doing it with a simple dry rub seasoning and then in the oven, uncovered.
