Beast brunch....what went wrong....what's good?

I eat brunch out on a weekly basis and tried Beast for the first time this morning.

I suppose we ordered the wrong item after that fabulous maple bacon donut because although I've heard great things, our meals were an absolute flop!

Eggs scramble - veggies and burrata. The cauliflower had a great taste as did the burrata but it was downhill from there. Pockets of salt that puckered my lips, long strings of green in the scramble which I assume was the frisee which required a knife to eat and the whole thing was just a heap of mush. No finesse whatsoever. The potatoes were so dried out and hard they were completely inedible. I am not sure which day they were originally prepared as it would be a real challenge to make those from fresh potatoes! The biscuit was dry and boring and simply had nothing going for it. Wonder bread toasted with butter would have been preferred.

My friend ordered the same item and with his dish the salt problem was only half as bad.

The service was very good but I was surprised the cheery server didn't ask why we didn't [couldn't] eat our potatoes...

Chicken croquette at the next table looked good but served with the same lousy potatoes and biscuit.

Just wondering...is there something worth going back for? Were these potatoes an anomaly? When I think of how amazing the potatoes normally are at Swan, I can't imagine ever trying them at Beast again! And when I need a sweet fix at brunch, The Drake can't be beat, and they also serve great potatoes.
