Had an excellent family dinner at 'Maple Yip' tonight. To my surprise they only charged $32 a pound for the live BC spotted prawns ( wok fried with Maggi sauce )... eating in!
Rest of our meal was also incredibly good.
We had:
- Fried Silver thread sprats with seasoned pepper salt
- Slow braised double cooked pork belly with preserved Chinese mustard greens
- Braised goose web with Chinese Shitake mushrooms in oyster sauce
However, the vivid tasting 'stirred fry beef with water spinach in fermented, salted shrimp paste' was a real stand-out and very addictive!
