BB King's - snooooorrrrrrrrre...

It appears that nobody answered my query about this place because there just isn't much to say. After descending into the pushing and shoving to get in the gate, then walking into the madness that is City Walk, we somehow knew that whatever fun we had was not going to be culinary. We DID have a meal, though, because since we were at a table we were required to purchase one entrée each...after $20 apiece at the door and that two-drink minimum. T. and I got the Ass-Kickin' Fried Chicken; the other guy got the rib-eye, the other woman got the blackened catfish...or rather, she ORDERED the blackened catfish, but got the fried. She had about the same luck with her sides, getting collards and cornbread instead of green beans and cornbread, though she liked them so much she insisted on keeping them. I have to say the green beans were very good, too. The garlic mashed potatoes would have been good warm; they were less good cold. The chicken was very tasty, but terribly overcooked. I gather that the fries were pretty good, since they disappeared and nobody offered me any. Everybody else had cocktails, which I do not drink with food; I had some red substance claiming to be a cabernet, which I'm sure was better than the one that's supposed to be merlot. Drinking the required two glasses was not a chore.

Service was excellent, given the sparse staffing - our waiter was fun and personable, and more annoyed than we were at the kitchen's glitches. Dinner and drinks for the four of us, with the 15% service charge, came to $150 - not ruinous, but remember the extra $80 to get in. Even given the very good music, that's not a thing we'd do very often. In fact, I think we won't at all...
