Bay Area Thai (aka Looking For Larb in All the Wrong Places)

Recently moved back to the South Bay (Milpitas to be exact) after spending a year and a half in New York. One of my former New York-roommates, who is Thai, introduced me to what real Thai food is all about in Elmhurst, Queens (where a lot of NYC Thais live) with some of the freshest and spiciest Thai food that I've ever had.

Now I know there's got to be some places in the Bay Area that are just as good or even better. But I've mostly run into fairly generic places with menus that don't go beyond your standard Pad Thai and Red/Green/Yellow/Massaman curries. Most specifically, I'm looking for a place that serves good "larb" (a spicy minced meat salad, mixed with chilies and various kinds of vegetables)

Any suggestions?
