Batifole - quick review

Had been hearing good things about Batifole (hope I spelled that correctly!) and thought I should check it out...I invited a french-bistro food foodie to provide a fully educated opinion (which was terrifying really..what to do if it was awful!?) Anyway - long story short...lovely atmosphere, reasonable prices...satisfactory service all round and really well executed food (this from the french food lover)..enjoyed watercress soup with "frog fritters"..duck terrine as apps - followed by veal steak and cassoulet..very filling. Amazing frites (fat ones..not the skinny ones..with tarragon mustard dipping sauce)..the server delivered an enormous steak to the table next to us and I was wishing I had ordered that - it looked spectacular!

I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys a nice, homey meal with a french twist..it's located on Gerrard just at Degrassi. Make a reservation though..
