Little Basil waste

iron frank | Jul 21, 2001 01:00 AM

Just had dinner at Little Basil on Greenwich Ave. Service was disinterested, cooking even more so. The hot/sour type soup (sorry the name escapes me at this hour)was not only not spicy as listed on the menu but tasted off and the (thankfully)paltry amount of chicken floating in it was dried out. The papaya salad was pretty good and flavorfully sweet and salty. Our two fish dishes (crispy Bass and red Curried Salmon) were both OVERcooked and bathing in a sauce that was less than delicious. A waste of my very limited chowhound dollars. Are there any well balanced and consistent Thai restaurants in this city
