I'm looking for a basic pecan pie recipe and I'm confused by all the "simple" ones that I am finding online. I'm looking for a pie that is on the lighter-colored side (No dark Karo or Dark brown sugar) and not so sweet it hurts your teeth. I want a pie that will slice well and not be so gooey and sticky. While most recipes that I am finding have the same ingredients, how can they all be so different? 2 tbls or 5 tbls butter? HUH? 3 or 4 eggs? 1 tsp or 2 tsp vanilla.
Help please...Christmas is on its way!
