Barbecue - Regional Styles

Jim, I know that this posting could be the start of a minor religious war on this board, but the Chez Lee Gang are planning a series of pilgrimages to the Barbecue meccas of this country. First on our list is Kansas City. I have some gotos for K.C. done by a bunch of folks who call themselves Gastronomic Appreciation Society BBQ-Kansas City (I've posted a link to their site below), but now I need to know -

1) What are the other great meccas for 'cue in this great nation of ours.

2) What are the most notable regional styles and how do they differ (can't we all just get along?).

3) Which style is best? (Just kidding)
