Went for an early dinner last night. The last few times I had eaten the prime rib dip sandwich, (which is outstanding) but switched up to the roast chicken dinner with fries. This is an wonderful example of rotisserie wood roasted chicken. Plump, crispy flavorful skin and very moist. Their fries are the skinny kind and some of the best around, if only they didn't salt them so damn much. Along with a Sierra Nevada on tap I was a happy diner.
My wife had her usual burger with fries and cole slaw. They changed up the bun, used to be on foccacia bread, now a poppy seed bun. They use a very good mix of beef. Always juicy and tasty, but I cannot understand how my wife likes her burger medium well. But despite that the meat was still good. The cole slaw is also well worth having.
With a Bloody Mary for wife, with three stuffed olives as an extra added attraction, the tab was $38, plus tip.
They have a thriving bar scene with a live combo that puts out some pretty nice sounds. It is a pleasent place to catch a bite, or have a drink.
And while I was too full to order the Banana Cream Pie last night, it is an excellent way to end the evening.
