Looking for some feedback on Bamonte's. I haven't found many specifics from Chowhounders, although some of the reference material from columnists/reviewers on the site indicated it was well regarded. I'll be in the area over Memorial Day from DC area and thought about trying. I'm in the mood for good, old-fashioned, red sauce, reasonably-priced Italian. Last time home (NJ) I did a Brooklyn run also, tried Queen and loved it. How would it compare and bottom line, is it worth the trip from Jersey?
As an aside, I have the address, but am completely unfamiliar with Williamsburg area. Is it (32 Withers St) near subway stop?
