Ihave recently purchased a Bamix immersion blender and like it for pureeing soup and making smoothies with cut up frozen fruit, finely chopped cucumber (soft), liquids, and superfood powder such as cocao, camu, etc. I would like to make smoothies with kale, celery, carrots and other sturdy veg. I have wanted a vitamix forever and lately have heard of dark spots coming from the jug. I have sent e mails asking if vitamix could make stainless steel jugs again as a choice. They thank me and will pass on suggestion.
Until I get a standup blender, does anyone know if I were to puree vegetables (will raw veg puree in a food processor) in a food processor, transfer them to a container with some liquid, soft fruit, or cut up frozen fruit, that I will still get a decent smoothie, not perfect like a vitamix, but good enough.
** When I used the Bamix for pureeing soup I did often place it on the bottom of my All-Clad stainless soup pot and there are five small rings on the bottom of pot. Is the pot safe to use now as far as anything leaking out? I have learned my lesson, no touching bottom of pot.
Suggestions welcome.
