I have heard of bahn mi and been curious about it. I love Vietnamese food and am pretty adventurous about food in general, but I have to admit I am slightly squeamish about unknown processed meats in any cuisine (like spam for example). I get the general idea of bahn mi but am curious what the meats are? Is bahn mi a category like "sandwich" with varations? Or is it just one kind of sandwich?
Ok, now I need to know where to go. I live in Chinatown so this is the most convenient area for me, but I would like to know about places elsewhere if they are good. Also, any suggestions on how to order them, extras etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
