This weekend in NYC, I stayed with a friend in Brooklyn. After a wonderful Dim Sum event at Ocean Palace in Brooklyn's Chinatown, we stopped off for Bahn Mi across the street (55th and 6th I think) at a place apparently reknowned for it's $2.50 "special" Bahn Mi.
I looked over the board and saw posts for Bahn Mi at Mix Bakery. However it appears the meat is more like liverwurst/pate. The meat at the place I went to was almost like undercooked meaty bacon. Fatty and delicious. There was also some other type of sliced meat. I'm not a big liverwurst person. Can anyone recommend a place that has something more like I ate?
