It seems like my dad's favorite story from his NYU days is about this place he used to eat with his friends...they served hamburgers on a bagel. Actually, the burger IS the story. He used to inhale them. I guess he was pretty obsessed.
We were walking around the village one day and actually found the place on W. 4th, right above Cornelia. But it was borded up and had an "Under Renovations" sign or something like that.
But I still can't remember the name of the place and neither can he. It MIGHT be simple "THE BAGEL"?
Does anyone know if this place has opened up again? Will it ever? If you know anything else about the history, I would love to hear.
We want to go back sometime for kicks...and I guess I'd just like to know more, for nostalgia's sake :)
