My bf and I are both feeling a little under the weather and decided to order udon and soba soup and some veggie maki rolls from Wasabi on Bedford. It arrived - we paid the deliverer $30 on a $25 bill, and then opened the soup to find that it was beef soup. We are both vegetarians (I eat fish) and he very clearly said Vegetable soup on the phone. So he called them back and the woman on the phone argued with him and said that he said Beef (when he most definately did not), and wouldn't replace it.
We put our jackets on and walked the soup back, and asked for our money back, or a replacement of vegetable soup only. The woman still argued with us that we said beef and wouldn't give our money back! I couldnt believe that in front of customers she would question what we said like that. I have a temper and started to make a scene that we were both vegetarians and that there was absolutely no way we said beef on the phone, and raised my voice. Another staff person finally said they would replace it with the vegetable, and luckily my boyfriend has less of a temper - so we sat and waited while the whole staff of about 10 stared at us and giggled.
I was afraid to eat it. I just couldnt believe that the waitress would question our veracity like that - after we walked all the way over there and in front of customers.
You can bet I won't be back there....
